Though it wasn’t the obvious choice for a massively successful program, “Downton Abbey” has risen to the ranks of fan favorite over the past few years. And now it seems the PBS show will wrap things up at the close of its sixth season.
Executive producer Gareth Neame told press, “Millions of people around the world have followed the journey of the Crawley family and those who serve them for the last five years. Inevitably there comes a time when all shows should end and Downton is no exception. We wanted to close the doors of Downton Abbey when it felt right and natural for the storylines to come together and when the show was still being enjoyed so much by its fans. We can promise a final season full of all the usual drama and intrigue, but with the added excitement of discovering how and where they all end up.”
He managed to complete a 30-day alcohol rehabilitation program without setting off the tabloid alarms, and Jon Hamm is happy to be on the road to recovery.
In a new interview with Australia’s “TV Week,” the “Mad Men” star opened up for the first time about his treatment- "Life throws a lot at you sometimes, and you have to deal with it as much as you can. I've been very fortunate that throughout the most recent 24-hour period, I've had a lot of family and friends support me."
The “Scandal” star shares that she used Twitter to divert attention away from the fact that she was giving birth last April. "Every Thursday within three weeks of my due date, I loaded up pre-tweets based on the episodes and what I would want to say. I tweeted in the very early stages of my labor. I figured that if I went completely silent on social media, then people would know I was in the hospital!"
She always has the craziest stories, and Chelsea Handler told Esquire magazine that more than a decade ago she almost fell victim to accused sex offender Bill Cosby.
The 40-year-old comedienne explained, "Oh, I was in Atlantic City playing, doing standup, and he was doing standup in Atlantic City in the same hotel, and at like three o'clock in the afternoon, someone from the hotel came down and said, 'Oh, you know, Mr. Cosby would really like to meet you up in his hotel suite.' And I thought, 'That's really weird.' This was like 10 years ago.”
