Kurt Cobain's death was a "dark, sad time", according to Dave Grohl's mother.

Virginia Hanlon Grohl has admitted the news of the late musician - who was the lead singer in Dave's first band Nirvana - came as a huge blow to her, her 48-year-old son, as well as friends and family of the star.

Asked if the icon's death changed what it meant to be the parent of a rock star, she said: "I think it did. It was such a dark, sad time. David came home after that so we all sort of had to regroup. We talked a lot ... We've always been able to say everything to each other. But that was a particularly sort of incredible time. It's hard to express."

Paris Hilton is desperate to have a "beautiful" family like Kim Kardashian West.

The 36-year-old socialite has admitted she thinks her 36-year-old friend has produced two stunning children, North, three, and 16-month-old Saint - who she has with her rapper husband Kanye West - and the blonde beauty is eager to settle down and start a family with her 31-year-old beau Chris Zylka.

Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton have been forced to scrap plans to stage a Spice Girls talent show.

The celebrity trio had planned to give fans of the record-breaking girl group the opportunity to join them on stage as they made their much-anticipated return to the spotlight, but the plans have been blocked by former bandmates Victoria Beckham and Mel C, who reportedly feared it would "damage the Spice Girls brand".

A source explained: "While fans would have preferred to see all five on stage again, the chance to become a Spice Girl was definitely the next best thing.

"Unfortunately, that won't be happening now. Neither Victoria nor Mel C were on board with the idea and faced with an 'us and them' situation, it was dropped.

Ruby Rose thinks her house is being invaded by black widow spiders.

The 'Orange is the New Black' star - who was born and raised in Australia - was stunned to see a highly venomous creepy crawly with a red back, most commonly talked about in her native country, on her doorstep at her home in Los Angeles.

Taking to her Twitter account, the 31-year-old actress uploaded a photograph of the spider and asked her fans whether the black insect was the deadly black widow.

She said: "I always thought cali spiders were kinda cute and like Hollywood versions of Aussie spiders then I saw this and now I'm shook. Black widow?"

Justin Theroux doesn't see his wife Jennifer Aniston as "competition".

The couple - who starred alongside each other in 2012's 'Wanderlust' - might be in the same field of work, but the 45-year-old screenwriter-and-actor says they don't see one another as a threat, although it might be different if they were going up against each other for the same role.

Justin told the latest issue of Esquire magazine: "She's successful for a reason ... We're not in competition.

"If I was competing for the same job as her, I might be less forgiving."

Harry Styles will have a week-long residency on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' next month.

The 23-year-old singer chatted to the CBS host in a FaceTime call posted on YouTube on Tuesday (04.25.17), to reveal he's heading to America and was looking for a temporary home.

Harry said: "I'm coming to LA soon, and I need somewhere to stay."

His 38-year-old pal replied: "Sure, if you want to stay at mine, you're welcome."

However, the 'Sign of the Times' musician was dissatisfied with the suggestion as he wanted to reside somewhere that felt more like "home".

Harry continued: "Oh God no. No, no , no, no. I want to stay at the studio.

Serena Williams didn't mean to announce her pregnancy via Snapchat.

The 35-year-old professional tennis player revealed earlier this month that she is expecting a baby with her fiancé Alexis Ohanian when she took to the photo sharing app to post a snap captioned "20 weeks".

Now, the star has admitted she meant to save the photo for later use, and didn't mean to publish it for the world to see.

She said: "Well, actually it was an accident. I was on vacation just taking some time for myself and I have this thing where I've been checking my status and taking pictures every week to see how far along I'm going.

"I didn't tell a lot of people to be quite honest and I'd been saving it. And you know how social media is when you press the wrong button ... and [there it was]."
